In a matter of days, the ProComm 2024 conference submissions portal will open, accepting calls for proposals from IEEE members and beyond. ProComm 2024 will be held at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, July 14-17, 2024. The theme of “Building Bridges: Connecting Ideas, People, and Possibilities” is the cornerstone of our efforts this year to reach out to technical, engineering, and scientific communicators who work in industry, as well as those who teach these subjects in universities and colleges around the world.

For the 2024 conference, along with ProComm’s regular spots for academic research and practice, we are enthusiastically encouraging those who are workplace communicators, trainers, technologists, engineers, scientists, and professionals to join us. ProComm 2024 wants to learn about your best practices, workflows, communication strategies, accessibility practices, paths to preparedness, AI strategies at work, training practices, the creation of standards or guides, and more.

As well, the annual ProComm conference is always a hotspot for academics to share their research and teaching methodologies, and that will continue. The portal for proposals will open soon, with a due date of January 5, 2024.
