We are pleased to invite you to visit University of Toronto, Canada, for ProComm 2018. Known for its diversity and inclusivity, Toronto is the perfect place to expand our community of practice by building understanding within our diverse IEEE PCS membership. This conference invites engineers, educators and technical communicators to come together in a forum where we can learn from one another, by focusing on the ways that our various disciplines meet and diverge, and by working to understand how these points of intersection work to build better technical communication and engineering communication.

We welcome submissions in all areas of technical and engineering communication, in theory and practice, including:

The Communication of Project Management:
This new stream for 2018 looks at the intersection between technical communication, engineering, and management in the practical application of planning and monitoring a successful project.

Communication in the Workplace:
Papers on the ways in which technical communication professionals and engineers work in multidisciplinary workplaces can shed insight on how to navigate different modes of communication while trying to serve the multiple interests of colleagues, organizations and projects.

Research Enriches Practice:
New perspectives in research as well as cases of multi-disciplinary challenges and solutions will provide insight into how to work together even more effectively in the future.

The World after Writing-Across-the-Curriculum
Papers exploring the current state of this movement, its successes and challenges, will help to bring teachers and professionals in their fields together for more effective and efficient teaching techniques.

Look for our full call for papers in late September 2017!
