Day 1: IEEE Visibility and Community Engagement

The opening day focused on introducing visitors to IEEE and its global network. IEEE YP ProComm Representative Ahsan Qamer Sheikh along with volunteers from Technical University of Chemnitz, Technical University of Munich, Technical University of Hamburg engaged attendees through one-on-one discussions, highlighting the  benefits of IEEE membership, Young Professionals initiatives, technical societies, leadership  opportunities, and IEEE ProComm activities. Conversations covered emerging technologies, career  development, research collaboration, and international networking, strengthening IEEE’s visibility while  fostering meaningful connections with the next generation of engineers and technology professionals.

Day 2: Academic Growth and Industry Collaboration

The second day was marked by strong engagement with university students, startups, and international  industry representatives. A student from Technical University of Berlin expressed interest in establishing an IEEE Student  Branch, creating an opportunity to expand IEEE’s academic presence within Germany. Several students  from different universities explored IEEE membership and its career development benefits.

Industry collaboration also gained momentum. Representatives from an international manufacturing  company proposed supporting university projects through technical expertise, materials, and potential  sponsorship for student-led electrical engineering initiatives. In addition, discussions with an AI startup  founder opened possibilities for future guest lectures, industry-academia collaboration, internship  opportunities, and knowledge-sharing activities for IEEE members.

Day 3: Leadership, Skills Development, and Future Collaboration

The final day emphasized leadership, future workforce development, and strategic networking. A highlight  was the panel discussion, “Skills for the Age of AI, Automation, and the Energy Transition,” featuring the  IEEE YP ProComm Representative Ahsan Qamer Sheikh alongside international researchers, CEOs, and industry leaders. The session  explored the evolving skillsets required for engineers in an increasingly digital and sustainable industrial  landscape.

Following the discussion, IEEE YP volunteers engaged directly with panel speakers and industry experts,  establishing valuable professional connections and identifying future collaboration opportunities. Interest  in IEEE membership remained strong throughout the day, with many students inspired to join IEEE Young  Professionals after attending the technical sessions. The relaxed exhibition environment also facilitated  productive networking with exhibitors and organizations, laying the foundation for future partnerships.
